Every truck in the Gladiator lineup features a 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 engine with an output of 285 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. Add the Trailer Tow Package, and you can use your Gladiator to tow up to 7,650 pounds. Thanks to its fuel-saving start-stop technology, the V-6 is just as efficient as it is robust. For drivers who want a diesel-powered truck, Jeep also offers a 2.0-liter EcoDiesel engine that generates 260 pounds and 442 pound-feet of torque. When equipped with the diesel engine, the Gladiator has a 6,500-pound towing capacity.
Performance
The 2021 Gladiator was built to perform. Jeep pairs the Pentastar V-6 engine with your choice of a six-speed manual transmission or an eight-speed automatic, and the EcoDiesel engine teams up with the automatic transmission.
