Trim Levels
The 2022 Ram 1500 Classic comes in three available trim options, which are Tradesman, Express, and Warlock. The basic Tradesman trim level comes equipped with 17-inch steel wheels, P265/700R17 BSW all-season tires, monotone paint, and the option to upgrade to the Tradesman SXT package. This truck's Express trim level features 17-inch aluminum wheels, P265/700R17 BSW all-season tires, and an optional spray-in bedliner with Mopar, as well as an optional RamBox Cargo Management System. The Warlock is available with several package upgrades, including the Trailer and Traction Group, the Utility Group, and the Warlock All-Terrain package. This trim comes standard with 20-inch semi-gloss black aluminum wheels, P275/60R20 all-season tires, optional rear power-sliding windows, and a trifold tonneau cover for the bed.
Engine
This upgraded Ram 1500 Classic is available with two different powertrain options: A 3.6-liter V-6 24-volt VVT engine and a 5.7-liter V-8 HEMI MDS VVT engine. The 3.6-liter V-6 24V VVT engine comes standard on all models with the opportunity to upgrade to the HEMI. The standard engine is capable of up to 305 horsepower and 269 pound-feet of torque, while the 5.7-liter V-8 HEMI MDS VVT engine is capable of up to 395 horsepower and 410 pound-feet of torque. Both engines come standard with an eight-speed automatic 870RE transmission, with an optional eight-speed automatic 8HP70 transmission with electronic shift.
Performance
The 2022 Ram 1500 Classic features several performance features to put you in control, no matter the terrain. It comes standard with a five-link coil-spring rear suspension for a smooth ride, a down-gauged steel frame without the heaviness of steel for efficiency and weight management, and drag-reducing active grille shutters to prevent drag. You can haul with confidence thanks to its 10,620-pound towing capability and electronic stability control with trailer sway control to make towing a breeze.
Interior
Several upgraded interior features keep you feeling cool and comfortable on the road. Some of these features include an available full-color 7-inch driver information digital cluster display you can customize to meet your needs and a new air filtration system that automatically filters out smoke, dust, and other air particulates for clean and efficient air control. The Ram Classic also boasts several technology features that let you and your passengers stay connected no matter where you're headed. Technology features in the Ram include USB ports, an available 115-volt auxiliary power outlet, Uconnect 4C NAV touch screen, and an available 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot and SiriusXM Radio.
Safety Features
Standard safety features in the Ram 1500 Classic include electronic stability control, hill start assist, and theft alarm notifications. Other standard safety features include the ParkView rear backup camera, six air bags throughout the cabin, crumple zones, and a high-strength steel frame for ultimate protection.
