Trim Levels (Exterior)
The 2023 Dodge Charger comes in seven trim levels: SXT, GT, R/T, Scat Pack, Scat Pack Widebody, SRT Hellcat Widebody Jailbreak, and SRT Hellcat Redeye Jailbreak. Dodge also offers three limited edition models — the Super Bee, Swinger, and King Daytona, which each get a "Last Call" underbody plate commemorating the Charger's final year.
Depending on the trim level, standard wheel sizes range from 17 inches to 20 inches, and specific features will be added to the models to indicate the trim. The R/T, for example, includes hints of vintage muscle styling and performance along with HEMI fenders and deck lid emblems. The Scat Pack has a custom grille, a deck lid, and 392 HEMI fender emblems. The Redeye gets a unique black chrome grille.
Engine (Power)
A 3.6-liter V-6 engine with an eight-speed automated gearbox and 292 horsepower and 264 pound-feet of torque serves as the standard engine on the 2023 Charger. In some of the higher trims, the same V-6 engine is offered with an upgrade that increases its output to 300 horsepower. The Charger has a variety of V-8 engine options, including a 5.7-liter V-8 that generates 370 horsepower and 395 pound-feet of torque. If you feel like you need more power, think about upgrading to the 6.4-liter V-8 to obtain 485 horsepower and 475 pound-feet of torque.
Choose between two 6.2-liter V-8 supercharged engines if you want to accelerate at race car speeds. The lower-rated unit produces 717 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque, while the higher-rated model produces an amazing 807 horsepower and 707 pound-feet of torque.
Performance
It's no surprise that the Charger brings an unbeatable performance, but each trim level is a little different. The R/T Scat Pack has zero-to-60-mph times as low as 3.8 seconds, while the Scat Pack gets 4.6 seconds and the SXT gets a still-great 6.5 seconds. You'll be able to switch in and out of different driving modes to fit the right situation, the minimum being Street, Sport, and Track.
Interior
The 2023 Dodge Charger has a spacious 105-cubic-foot passenger volume and 16.5 cubic feet of luggage space. The Uconnect infotainment system may be accessed through the standard trim's 7.0-inch screen, and the standard audio package comes with six speakers. Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, four USB ports, speech recognition, and Bluetooth connectivity are standard as well. A navigation system, a 19-speaker premium sound, and an 8.4-inch screen are among the available infotainment and entertainment upgrades.
Safety Features
The 2023 Charger can quickly come to a halt and warn you of dangers up ahead with forward collision warning and automated emergency braking. Plus, features like adaptive cruise control and lane departure warning can make driving more convenient and controlled. Additionally, you may add some extras for night shifts or inclement weather, such as rain-sensing windshield wipers and automatic high-beam headlights.
