Randy Marion Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram

Aug 12, 2022

The 2022 RAM 2500 is one of the most impressive and sought-after trucks, and for good reason. This heavy-duty pickup truck has received a few tweaks and upgrades and now features a Uconnect 5 infotainment system and 360 view cameras, among other things. Read on to find out what makes the new RAM 2500 so special.

High Ride Quality

Premium ride quality is hard to achieve with heavy-duty diesel engines, but the latest RAM 2500 is as good as it gets. Even when cruising at a low speed, riding in the cabin is comfortable, and the suspension works at a whisper. You’ll barely notice bumps and potholes in the road, and the body roll isn’t too bad around corners.

The independent front and rear multi-link suspension comes with a leaf spring solid axle rear setup and outdoes most competitors, ensuring a smooth ride at high speeds. For an even more level drive, you can opt for the auto-leveling air suspension for the rear.

Safety

RAM 2500s are equipped with many driver-assist technologies. If you like to get rowdy, you can rest at ease knowing this truck received 4 stars in the NHTSA crash test. You can choose to add the Safety Group package to any of the models in this range. The package includes:

  • Automatic emergency braking
  • Blind-spot monitoring
  • Rear cross-traffic alert
  • Automatic high beams
  • Adaptive cruise control

Space and Comfort

Regular RAM 2500 cabs neatly fit up to three passengers, while the mega cab and crew cab options seat six. The front row is certainly spacious enough for adults of any size or shape, with excellent leg room that doesn’t compromise the storage space options, and the headroom isn’t too shabby either! Store items in the large center console and the roomy under-armrest or use the wide pockets in the doors.

RAM has done an excellent job on the seating; we loved the upholstered leather chairs that keep you feeling comfortable and supported even on long drives. There are also add-on amenities to improve your experience, including climate control, heated seats, and seat memory.

Technology

All RAM 2500 models at the Big Horn trim level and above are fitted with impressive 12-inch Uconnect 5 infotainment screens, which offer great features like Wi-Fi connectivity, tow-specific navigation, and update capability. If you’d like to stick to something a little more modest, the base-level Tradesman package has a 5-inch screen. Depending on the trim level, you can opt for 6-17 speakers, a 360-degree camera, a 220-amp alternator, and a towing camera.
