Exterior Styling

From the outside, the 2021 Dodge Challenger shows off sleek styling elements and an aggressive stance. It sits low and wide, and packages are available to make it even wider. Other appealing elements of the exterior styling include a sporty rear spoiler and an elongated hood with aerodynamic air intakes. Additional equipment on the base trim level includes a set of 18-inch wheels, automatic halogen headlights, LED daytime running lights and brake lights, and chrome accents.

As you move through the higher trims, additional exterior upgrades are available. The GT adds sporty elements like larger wheels, a performance-tuned suspension, and fog lights. Some of the higher trim levels have upgraded Xenon headlights, Brembo high-performance brakes, launch control, and unique exterior styling details. The two SRT Hellcat trims boast wider performance tires, special badges, larger brakes, and a unique front grille.

Power Beneath the Hood 

The base engine found on the lower two trim levels is a 3.6-liter V-6 that makes 303 horsepower and 268 pound-feet of torque. It works with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Next is the R/T trim, which has a 5.7-liter V-8 engine rated at 372 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque. It works with the same eight-speed automatic transmission, although a six-speed manual is an option. If you choose this transmission, the engine output goes up to 375 horsepower and 410 pound-feet of torque. 

With the R/T Scat Pack, you get a 6.4-liter V-8 engine that pumps out 485 horsepower and 475 pound-feet of torque. It’s also offered with the eight-speed automatic or six-speed manual transmission. Nearing the top of the list, both SRT Hellcat trims have the same supercharged 6.2-liter V-8 that produces 717 horsepower and 656 pound-feet of torque. However, Dodge offers specially tuned versions of this engine that put out 797 or 807 horsepower and 707 pound-feet of torque. You won’t find many models that can compete when it comes to raw power.

Comfort and Tech Features 

Although the Challenger is a performance-focused muscle car, it doesn’t skimp on comfort or technology. Within the roomy cabin, standard convenience and comfort features include a power-adjustable driver’s seat, cloth upholstery, and dual-zone automatic climate control. You can further enhance your cabin with options like upgraded cloth or leather upholstery, heated and ventilated front seats, and a heated steering wheel.

Even the base model comes with a six-speaker sound system, a 7-inch touch screen with the Uconnect 4 infotainment system, and Android Auto/Apple CarPlay smartphone integration. A premium sound system, a larger 8.4-inch touch screen, an upgraded infotainment system, and wireless charging are available as upgrades. Dodge bundles many of its high-end features into packages, referred to as groups.
