The most awarded minivan for five years in a row, the 2021 Chrysler Pacifica has a completely new look. It remains ideal for the family with its spaciousness, safety features, and practicality.

Exterior Styling

The grille in front is bigger with reshaped LED headlights that give the vehicle a boxy appearance. The square lower air inlets are widely spaced, giving the front end a broader look. The restyled full-width taillight stretches from edge to edge at the back of the van. Stepping in and out of the vehicle is easy due to the low position of the doorsills, the big door openings, the high roofline, and the seats that are well-positioned. Add to the new exterior styling with the available hands-free power-sliding doors and hands-free power liftgate and you have practical functionality.

Interior Spaciousness

The Pacifica is a comfortable family van with the ability to transform into a practical cargo vehicle. The cabin is spacious, with extra storage features such as cubbies, cup holders, and slide-out bins. The front seats have available heating and cooling. The high-end Limited and Pinnacle models offer a taller center console, making it feel more like an SUV. The Pinnacle model also features quilted leather upholstery with matching lumbar pillows.

The second and third rows fold flat, making it ideal for hauling bulky goods, which it does extremely well in the storage space. The second-row versatility is the ace card. You can fold the Stow ‘n Go seats into the floor with minimal effort and use the underfloor storage spots for extra cargo storage. Folding the third-row seating for storage isn’t difficult, although a power-folding option is available too. Want to clean up any spills? A built-in vacuum cleaner is another option for this versatile minivan.

More Than Looks

The Pacifica offers both a V-6 engine and a plug-in hybrid powertrain, giving a smooth and compliant ride across various road surfaces. The front-wheel-drive Pacifica reaches 60 mph in 7.3 seconds and feels snappy on urban roads. The non-hybrid packs a 287-horsepower 3.6-liter V-6 with a nine-speed automatic transmission. The hybrid has 260 horsepower from its 3.6-liter V-6 and two electric motors backed up by a 16-kWh lithium-ion battery. The 2021 Chrysler Pacifica offers a 3,600-pound maximum tow capacity.

Standard advanced driver aids include forward collision warning with pedestrian detection, adaptive cruise and lane keeping, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, and more. The optional 360-degree camera, which makes maneuvering in tight spots easier, is a worthwhile extra. The 2021 Pacifica earned a five-star rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.  Minivans are about utility and space and this is exactly what the Pacifica excels in. With its 2021 features, the availability of an all-wheel-drive option, and a unique plug-in hybrid powertrain option, the 2021 Chrysler Pacifica is a no-brainer. Available trims include the base level Pacifica Touring, the Pacifica Touring L, the all-wheel-drive Pacifica Limited, and all-wheel-drive top-of-the-range Pacifica Pinnacle. There’s nothing not to love about them.
